Residents of the Jersey City Heights and Union City will have access via an elevator from Congress Street and Paterson Plank Rd to the 9th Street Hoboken Light Rail station. The lift's tower rises 105 feet from the Hoboken station to the entrance in Jersey City.
The two high-speed traction elevators travel at the quick clip of 350 feet per minute. Each car is 6 feet wide by 9 feet deep with an approximate capacity of 17 people.
The 2nd Street Hoboken Light Rail station is at the base of Mountain Road. (Ogden Avenue and Ferry Street both lead to Mountain Road.)
From the Light Rail Stations, travel is quick and easy between Weehawken, downtown Hoboken (the location of the train, bus, PATH subway, and ferry hubs), Jersey City (Newport, Exchange Place, Liberty State Park, and western stations) and a number of locations in Bayonne.
